Is it true that your metabolism slows down if you skip meals?

AFAIK, yes. ksi pag nakita nang katawan mo na alang pagkain, it will try to conserve energy, so babaan nya ang metabolism mo to sustain your energy supply/needs.

malamang magkaroon ka pa nang hyperacidity, or worse - ulcer if you skip meals regularly. if you wan't to cut down on your food intake, do it gradually.

Yes, yes yes... Refer to this http://www.activeboard.com/forum.spark?forumID=44353&subForumID=101304&action=viewTopic&commentID=1577520&topicPage=

Your metabolism works everytime you ingest food, the more often you ingest a small (or right) amount of food to your digestive system, your metabolism will be at full blast. The more often your digestive duties are called for, the more continous your fat burning capabilities will be. As a matter of fact, if you've been following a 5-6 meal diet plan for several days, you can see a body temp increase from your pre-diet temp as soon as you wake up. Your resting metabolic rate will be higher.
