american and asian diets

I was wndering how different the asian bodybuilders' diet from that of the americans.  I am in north america and i'm starting a program that will hopefully get my body ripped but i am not allowed to eat white rice, which is very hard since i was born and raised in asia.  Any thoughts on this?

its the diff contents of the meal that separates most bodybuilders. afaik, its about the same. americans like pasta, & potatoes, so its somewhat the same as eating rice.. both are starchy carbs.

i eat all sorts of filipino dishes like puchero, menudo, kare-kare (w/o bagoong), bistek, nilagang baka, tinola, etc. - but not regularly. i try to stay with grilled chicken, or deep fried chicken, i don't eat the skin though. and for the deep fried, i take the skin out, then press it on a paper towel before eating it.

r u just maintaining ur weight?  i am trying to gain weight and eat 6x a day.  i try to take in at least 2000 calories a day which is really hard because I used to not eat a lot.  how much supplements do u  take like whey protein, creatine?  i am having at least 3 protein shakes a day with 1/4 cup of whey protein each (approx. 24 g of protein).  what do u think about creatine?  i'm starting purple K creatine

i'm trying to lose fat. my whey protein intake is around 80g++ a day. my in-between meals are egg whites only. i used to take creatine.. just for the hell of it, and it works! more strength, & better pump.. well the better pump was probably just in my head. hehe. but eventually, i leaned more towards glutamine. there's a creatine sticky, under supplementation, that you might want to read.

2000 cals / 6 = 330++ cals per meal.. kinda low. check out AST's nutritional calculator. it might give you an idea as to how much cals you need.

you can always have  rice but go brown rice it is a heathy kind of rice which is lots of fiber on it.

filipino  foods is not deffer from american food, like pasta, potatoes, rice, grits, burger and many other foods..
