ON: GOLD STANDARD. rebadging the whey??

marketing strategy? kasi diba sila ang pioneer sa whey category. obvious naman siguro. dati 22g tapos nag 23g sila, nagsunuran lahat. ngayon naman 24g na? pero at the same price. whats next? this is good for us consumers, pero hindi kaya in the long run eh parang maging muscletech na sila? hindi na nila kaya iback-up claims nila... anyway, what can you say about 'gold standard'? try niyo na? rocky road and tropical punch flavors... papalitan niyo na ba regular whey niyo?

----from optimumnutrition.com

Now with whey protein isolates as the primary protein source, ON 100% Whey Gold Standard™ provides 24 grams of protein and only 3 grams of carbohydrates per serving.

Package Size: 5 lbs., 74 servings >> nabawasan ng 3 servings???

----from bodybuilding.com

The Most Whey Protein Isolates Ever Sets A New Standard!

100% Whey Protein Gold Standard from Optimum Nutrition. 100% Whey protein is now better than ever with 24g of pure, instantized whey protein and more whey protein isolates (WPI) the purestt source of whey protein available. Whey Protein Gold Standard now provides an even higher protein percentage by weight. This unique formula includes strategically hydrolyzed whey peptides, lactase and aminogen digestive enzymes to further enhance absorption. How is this formula different from their original formula? Most notably, ON 100% Whey Gold Standard has been enhanced to include more of the purest, most expensive source of whey protein available: Whey Protein Isolates (WPI). By supplying more WPI, ON 100% Whey Gold Standard offers a higher percentage of protein by weight, and more of the pure, unadulterated proteins you've grown to love. Of course, all of this comes without having to sacrifice any other aspects of quality, mixability, taste, and texture.

Since the very beginning, ON's 100% Whey Protein has raised the standard by which all whey protein supplements are judged. Now years later, we're raising the bar again. Like it's predecessors, ON's 100% Whey Protein contains Optimum Nutrition's exclusive, proprietary blend of the following to give you more of what you want (pure, unadulterated whey protein) with less of what you don't (fat, saturated fat, cholesterol, lactose, and other carbohydrates) with every serving. In fact, ON's 100% Whey Protein is better than ever! Here's why:

1. Microfiltered Whey Protein Isolates
2. Ion-Exchange Whey Protein Isolates
3. Ultrafiltered Whey Protein Concentrate
4. HydroWhey Hydrolyzed Whey Peptides

7 Important Highlights

1. Each and every serving provides more protein 105% of the protein found in previous varieties.
2. We've included more HydroWhey strategically hydrolyzed, low molecular weight whey peptides to make ON's 100% Whey Protein even faster acting!
3. ON's 100% Whey Protein now contains lactase and Aminogen digestive enzymes to further enhance absorption and make this product even more friendly to lactose intolerant individuals.
4. Higher protein percentage. ON's 100% Whey Protein has always been a leader in this respect. With 23 grams of protein in just a one ounce serving, it's nearly 81% protein by weight!
5. ON's 100% Whey Protein is instantized to mix easily and completely with just a few twirls of a spoon.
6. Every serving supplies even more low, moderate, and high molecular weight, biologically active whey protein including Alpha-lactalbumin, Glycomacropeptides, Beta-lactoglobulin, Immunoglobulin G (IgG), Lactoferrin, lactoperoxidase, and various growth factors.
7. Over 3.5 grams of glutamine and glutamine precursors as well as 5 grams of BCAAs (leucine, isoleucine, and valine) in each scoop!

----

ot: bakit kaya 22-24g ang per serving ng whey? yun ba ang ideal? bakit hindi gawin 30g? or 50g? or 100g? diba?

Van wilder, meron ka na bang ganyan? How much would it cost?Siguro if the price is much much more than regular ON whey, then with just 2grams of protein difference, malamang most users of ON whey will stick with the original.Do you agree?

I think nadiscuss din natin to with Pro Complex dati...

Pro Complex mas mahal talaga ingredients, but tama observation mo, almost all manufacturers "pad" their protein content (or whatever active content) higher pero makikita mo bababa ang serving quantity (or tataas yung serving size)...

Theveed I think you got it wrong iba yung Pro complex sa ON whey gold standard.Nakita ko din sa website.Same packaging black din pero may gold standard indication sa baba.Yung pro complex is purple ang packaging.

The big question, which one to choose? One has 23grams per scoop, while the other has 24grams on it.But the former has 77servings in a 5 pounder packaging, whilst the second one has only 74 servings.

although very little change, i'll go for the quality not the quantity, kahit masakit din sa bulsa yun 3 servings...

basta whey i believe kumpleto ang aminos.

hence the advantage of breast milk over formulas FOR BABIES! (bago kayo magkaidea hehe)

did you know that breast milk contains 65% whey protein and 35% casein protein as compared to formulas based on cow's milk (35/65 ratio naman)
