There are many, countless number of training principles out today, some are just minor variants of others such as high sets, max-ot, sct, cliffhanger, blitz (austrian, zane, etc)... In the end, it's about finding one or two principles that works for your body, schedule and your personal advantages (height, muscle fiber type and ratio, etc.).

Personally, I like to mix my workouts every 2 months or so. Taking a week off every 4th week. Depending on the bodypart, some may receive high sets, high reps, low reps, low sets, etc.

Well in my own opinion combining all or different training principles will be very benefinicial in achieving maximium benefit from your workout. What is really important is your discipline, attitude and your drive to succeed.
