whey intake while in a weight loss program


hello!


i just want to ask, is it ok to take whey supplements even if ang target program is weight-loss and not bulking up? 


Another question..are (5-6) egg whites a good alternative to whey supplements?

Egg whites are not substitutes for whey since whey is the "complete" protein containing all the amino acids in protein. Refer to the Designer Whey thread as well for more info. Whey is faster absorbing as well.

Protein consumption should remain high to sustain a positive nitrogen balance. Weight loss or gain, protein consumption (ratio) should be contant to prevent muscle loss.

oo nga...i have this same question about whey protein during weight loss

kasi yung bayaw ko 34 yrs old na and he's suffering from an ACL injury (sa tuhod) so kailangan nya mag-gym para lumakas ulit legs nya....pero sabi ata sa kanya kailangan daw mag whey protein para mas "mabilis" yung pag=heal ng tear sa tuhod...dunno how true this is.....

Weird, that's a ligament problem, I don't see how exactly protein will help recuperation. I'm no expert though. My wife has a serious ACL problem from Karate around 6 years back, other than surgery and PT, there's no medicide to speed up the progress according to several specialists.

anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) can heal by themselves. There's no connection with whey protien. All he needs to do to have a fast recovery is to go to rehab and let the PT's and his doctor do his leg programs.


Whey can be a big help if you have a torn muscle but not ligaments.

***You still need protein to go with this thermogenics.

before bedtime casein protein masmaganda... whey kasama ng breakfast, and before and after workout...

baka na misheard lang nung bayaw mo. baka tear sa muscles hindi sa acl ang mabilis mag heal or recover sa whey.
