Protein ratio should always be constant regardless of cut or bulk for muscle retention.
How's the program so far? Motivated?
Regarding the off cycle, nasa-sayo yan, usually 5-10 days off is more than enough provided that you're feeding yourself well and getting enough rest. Listen to your body nalang, some people recuperate faster than others.
BTW, by taking time off, that means totally no workout or anything that'll cause your body functions to work harder than it should for maintenance. Take a break, you deserve it, you'll come back stronger :)
program is good! i've become accustomed to the training, and the motivation issues i had before have past. as for the progress.. my posture improved, i became aware of my food intake, and i am able to wear an old pair of jeans.
as usual, i still have stubborn fat deposits formed in diff. areas of my body. but i'm determined to continue and move on. sana magkaroon ako nang guts to post my pic.
thanks!!! i'll be taking your advice to listen to my body.

Ive read a lot of articles that suggest you take a week off after 7wks straight of training. I myself take a week off after every 12wks of hard training. i-try mo mag rest for a week. If you feel that you're rested already, then go back to the gym. Pero kung parang hindi pa well rested ang katawan mo, then extend it for another week. It won't hurt. But while you're resting, watch what you eat. Keep your protein at 1 gram per pound bodyweight and your carbs not more than 2 grams per pound bodyweight. Keep fats at a minimum too. And drink 1.5 - 2 gallons of water everyday.
