In one of the forums where they bash muscletech products, one mentioned that nitrotech has CREATINE on it.Is there any truth to this claim? Most of their ranting is due to this overhyped advertising this company creates, leading of course to the higher prices of their products. It's quite confusing, but I know of people attesting to the effectivity of their products.Just confused.
1) They already bought it and will not accept that they've been duped. 2) Sugar
Read what T-nation's article in NO (in the Nitric Oxide thread here) and the section about placebo effect.
Here's the excerpt:
" But Wait, I Thought I Felt Something!
I’m sure some people are reading this and thinking, "But I know these products work because I’ve taken them and feel their effects!" While these perceived effects are potent, I submit to you that based on the scientific evidence, this is merely a result of the placebo effect.
The placebo effect is when someone uses an inert substance, which should produce no effect, yet somehow still experiences an effect. This occurs frequently when pharmaceutical companies test a new drug. They give one group the real drug and another group an inert sugar pill. Interestingly, the group receiving the sugar pill often has a series of side effects like dry mouth, headaches, dizziness, adding ten pounds to their bench, etc. — all caused by their own minds!
One famous research analysis calculated the placebo effect to account for 75% of a drug’s effect, although this exact figure remains controversial (19). It’s amazing what dogma we can succumb to in the face of contrary reason and evidence, merely because we want to believe something. This belief, desire and trust all seem to work at the neurological level of the brain (10). This indicates that it’s more than a matter of a few people being tricked by unscrupulous companies.
Unfortunately, the situation is even worse when it comes to sports supplements because of our expectations. Hundreds of advertisements with spectacular claims, combined with our incredibly strong desire to believe that these supplements work, often defeat our poor psyches. I call this a directed placebo effect, because we have not only a simple belief in what the supplement is supposed to do, but a powerful desire to believe in its effectiveness.
What can make our desire to believe in these products even stronger is the very fact that we've already purchased them! After all, recognizing that a product doesn’t work is like admitting that we were duped — something no one wants to do. Hey, I've fallen into this trap too in the past. We're all susceptible.
Even if you still believe in the products in question, you’ll now be aware of this powerful psychological effect."
I think it's best that we know which products are really effective. Is there a website(which is not biased)that has a list of these supplements?Lucky me the nitrotech was just given to me.......
I use Dextrosol, P120/can, mga 750grams na ata yun. Sa mga chinese drugstore/grocery, tiangge supplement shop meron. i saw it sa mercury din one time, forgot which branch.
pero if i buy that, how will i mix it with creatine? if my creatine is EAS and it states that for every serving, i use 1.5 teaspoons, eh ako ginagamit ko yung measuring spoons pa talaga para sure...should i use the same ratio for the dextrose?
Why not just put the creatine on the grape juice and put ice and drink it. I think it has enought glucose or why not put the creatine in gatorade or powerade, la lang naisip ko lang. mas masarap pa. Para di din mag water retention caused by the creatine, take atleast 2500mg of Vit C.
Iba po kasi ang chemical structure ng glucose at dextrose.
For measuring, have you tried using a home food weighing scale? It's easier that way. Actually once mo lang kailangan i-weigh, if you use the same measuring tool (like a scoop) alam mo na kung ilang scoop ang equivalent.
BTW, anything marketed by MuscleTech should be tagged as hype before anything... I wouldn't be surprised if unbiased studies will debunk its claims of burning fat and building muscle at the same time, that's like a HOLY GRAIL for all fitness buffs, it's BS if you ask me.
Sabi nga ng isang seasoned lifter about thermogain "Unless it's ingredients contain Testosterone Enathate blended in with a very potent Clenbuterol, this product will not work - and even then it's still a real stretch."
At best, it's just another thermogenics with absolutely no gains. The ingredients are too simple and low in dosages for it to do any growth stimulations.
Another funny part of their website... http://www.muscletech.com/PRODUCTS/THERMOGAIN/thermogain.shtml
"That's right! Regular thermogenics do nothing to help you keep all your hard-earned muscle while you're dieting to get shredded! Sure, some regular thermogenics might raise your metabolism to help you burn off some calories, but until now, no thermogenic has ever been designed to help you build muscle while burning those calories. Let's face it: Bodybuilding without building muscle is like playing baseball without a ball. It just doesn't work! You're just wasting your time taking regular thermogenics if you're looking for impressive size and cuts! "
Oh, so your Hydroxycut is crap for bodybuilders then???
It also claims to aid creatine delivery, use CEE then if you want that... Geesuz, these ads make buyers look retarded.
