I have an injury on my right shoulder and it got dislocated a 3-4 years ago. How hard should i train or lift weight with this injury? What would be the best excercise to do on this because i noticed that I am having a hard time lifting the normal weights i do before and now, i can only do half of what i am capable of?
assess it (your right shoulder) first by going to a doctor, or a physical therapist. get a couple of x-rays to see if your previous injury had caused any premanent harm or damage. inform your gym instructor of your shoulder injury. try developing your arms muna. don't go for failure kaagad. preacher curls for your bi's, cable pulldowns for your tr's
am sure the others here will pitch-in.

I had already been to my doctor kasi i had my shoulder dislocated twice already pero i feel like it is just weak na rin.
I do shoulder press and other shoulder excercises pero i feel kapag tumatagal na hindi na pantay yung buhat ko because i feel that my shoulder is giving up or is getting tired.
As ive posted in another thread, go with how your shoulder feels. yung sinabi mo na kapag tumatagal na hindi na pantay yung buhat mo, that is because yung muscle ng right shoulder mo is expected to be weaker due to the injury. Don't worry. As long as it doesnt cos severe pain during lifting, you'll be fine. But remember: PROPER FORM is the priority here, not how much you lift. EGO is one of the biggest riskfactors for injuries in the gym. Focus on the form of the exercise and the feel on the muscle, not on lifting "HEAVY".
