pero bakit yun iba hindi nila consider na natural pa rin ang pag-gamit ng whey protein? yun iba iniisip pagnagwhey ka para kang nagsteroids... ang labo...
true mr. prez! it's okay to drink 15-30 grams of protein after workout than eating an equivalent of it let's say, tatlong bandehadong fried rice, isang buong manok na walang balat, kalahating lechon-biik, labinlimang litrong gatas at 20 litro na tubig....vs. 1 glass of (Optimum Nutrition) Whey Protein....tapos gutom ka pa after so dagdag pa sa 23 g ng protein yung kakainin mo...o diba....

Technically eto ang classification:
All-Natural: Uses real food ONLY as nutrient source
Natural: Uses legal supplements and no pro-hormones, steroids and other anabolics.
siguro konting education or info pa para sa mga ibang nagwowork out....na ang mga supplement are here to help us get the body, health and goals that we want to achieve faster and better pa! konting time pa siguro marerealize din ng mga ibang gym and health fanatics....sa USA ng whey protein is soooo accepted and welcomed sa lahat ng mga fruit shake stands nila nagbebenta na ng whey protein as an add on to their fruit shakes!...kasi with the addition of whey protein sa shakes this makes it a full meal! vitamins, minerals, carbs etc. sa fruits then protein from whey.....sa mga dieters, health conscious this is a perfect meal replacement for breakfast or snack or after workout drink.....pero siyempre kailangan pa rin natin kumain ng food! hehehehe siguro for lunch real food dapat.
Malaking tulong talaga mga supplements and its getting to be popular all over the world....

Agree to most points except for the quoted statement. MRP or protein shakes are not perfect meal replacements for real food, especially with breakfast. Real food will almost always contain a better ratio of macronutrients and will benefit our digestive system from its natural sugars, fats, fibre, etc. If you're focusing on using supplements more than your diet, or if your daily diet consists of over 50% consumption on MRP/Protein supplements, something is definitely not right here.
You'll end up using supplements as your diet, and real food as supplements, you'll definitely get malnourished and your digestive system will be out of whack.
As for it getting popular, it's a misnomer, really. Supplements are technically well accepted ages ago. Simple multi-vitamins are supplements. Baby formulas are supplements (read most baby formulas, it contains whey, maltodextrin, BCAA, etc.). It's nothing new. What's "not" that accepted for the layman when it comes to supplements are marketing hyped up products that tells you a product "may" do something but it really won't do anything by itself. A perfect example is fatburner products. Confusion and misinformation by the manufacturers are partly to blame for the relative reluctancy of layman consumers from purchasing food supplements.
It's all about marketing. Even regular powdered milk or "health" drinks like Ensure, Enervon HP, etc are considered as supplements, but if it's sold in a grocery, or advertised like a "casual" drink for consumers, it's no longer called a supplement but a regular grocery item.

amen to that! its all about marketing. parang yellow cab pizza, marketed na parang imported pero galing pinas lang din. kaya nga marami naasar sa muscletech eh kasi hindi kaya suportahan ng product nila yun marketing promises nila... kaya nasabing overhype lang sila...
Agree, Agree, Agree. hehehe..... What I meant by the "perfect meal replacement" siguro was kung nagdidiet ka and your not going to eat real food or anything or just take a piece of chocolate or a piece of cheesecake or skyflakes etc. Masmaganda na yung mag "protein fruit shake" ka hehehe atleast it has carbs and proteins some vitamins etc. in it, para makuha mo pa rin whatever your body needs kahit papaano, until your "real meal" of the day....
Guys, no plugging of products please. It's clearly stated in the board description, use the Classified sections. The past couple of posts regarding pricing and availabilities of products will be deleted since it's totally OT.

Yes, kailangan ko lagi magpa chekup kasi meron ako epilepsy and may iniinom ako maintenance na gamot. Kailangan alam ng doctor kung ano ang mga pinag gagagawa ko sa sarili ko.

15 litres of milk? that would be 40g*15 = 600g of protein! sobra ka naman... ang layo ng 23g sa 600g... the protein content of half litre of skim milk is equivalent 1 serving of ON/Champion/Nitrotech whey protein...
