Great job with your weight loss. Fish and Chicken are great sources of protein. You get around 8-10g of protein from 50g of chicken breast, around 20grams of protein from 100g of tuna. Those are high protein food.
Im on a so called "sea food" diet. I eat a lot when i see food... hehehheheh Right now, my diet consist of oat meals and tuna as much as possible i limit my rice intake.

Jojo: To be honest, I don't know how much mercury our canned fish has in the market, but for me kasi, almost all our food are contaminated one way or another. I don't see how a can of Century Tuna in Water can be more harmful than a bag of chicaron hehe. I eat around 2 cans of Tuna in Water a day. Is it a concern? I'd say yes, but for me avoiding junk food is a much safer decision than to be worried about contaminant content of "real" food like veggies and fish. Nice to see you around bud!
Bandido: Si Jon ba to? See food hehe... sanayan din naman, I used to eat anything in sight, but after a couple of months of educating myself with food and nutrition, it's really not that hard to avoid bad food (or have them in really moderated quantities if tempted) or eating a lot. Once it becomes "routine" a better diet is easy to follow and to live with.
Oatmeal is a great source of carb. Try to eat most of your carbs before lunch. Heavy carb during mornings are ok since they're very unlikely to be stored as fat since your body just came from a fasting state (hence the term break-fast) from your 6-9hrs of sleep. Insulin spikes from high GI carbs during the latter part of the day promotes fat storage.
I'm currently bulking to gain mass/weight due to my bodybuilding efforts so I eat around 6-8 meals a day... It was hard at first, but after a couple of weeks, it becomes natural naman. Still not eating as much as I should but I'm getting there... Slowly hehe.
theveed, thanks for the info. i still eat Century tuna (Spicy and in oil ) over hot steamed rice
it was a friend of mine who used to work-out who told me that. anyways, you're definitely right on most of the food being contaminated one way or another.
wala... since i have eating problems since i was a kid. i only eat italian foods, sabaw filipinos (only the sabaw with rice)... pancit... burger w/o veggies, hotdog, junkfoods... how i wish i could eat fish and chicken instead... kaya what i do is not eat big meals but 6-8 small meals a day, or take a small meal every 2 1/2 - 3 hours...
Hirap din kasi minsan na sobrang deprived ka tapos gustong gusto mo yung food hehe. Like me for example... Among the "bad foods" that I like is Yakisoba or whatever na dry noodles. Mga once every 2-3 weeks I have a cup, and then I'm satisfied na, chances are, unless batong bato ako at walang magawa at yun lang laman ng cupboard, I won't even give it a second look...
Teka, start akong isang thread na nakakatuwa siguro sa mga nagdidiet :P
Well basically my diet is still the same, I'm still eating the same food but spread it into 5 to 6 small meals. Only the difference is that i cut down on junks foods and sweets.
My current diet (kung diet nga ang tawag dito)... GYM DAY: breakfast: 1 cup rice, and century tuna (the flavored ones) lunch: 1 cup rice, and viand (around 4 pieces if pork or beef meat, matchbox size) dinner (5pm): 1 cup pasta, tomato meat sauce work out in the evening after office post workout: 1 serving whey protein REST DAYS: breakfast: same or same serving size as lunch lunch: same dinner: out with friends. whatever is on the table :) My current diet is not effective because all I'm doing at this point is just maintaining my current weight. No significant cuts or mass build at all.
You should be eating more carbs for you to become strnger when you work - out. And you should eat 7 - 8 times a day with that kind of measurements.
