... Xenadrine EFX , that is. Can anyone share their experience with this stuff? Positive or otherwise, i need to hear from you since i am considering it.
yes, i use it... i take half the recommended dosage when i do my cardio. from my experience.. i've felt an immediate energy boost, and a need to drink a lot of water. the appetite suppressing effects are questionable, and results vary for each indivual.
IMO, i would not suggest that you take it as a daily dietary supplement. i take the tab 15mins before my cardio workout.

Pareng Dennis: Here's something I posted sa Tsikot gym thread yesterday... Personally I don't like seeing people use them not because they're dangerous or inneffective (which they aren't if used correctly), but in most cases, most people can make do without their availability but manufacturers market it as if it's the "SURE FIRE WAY" of losing fat fast.
BTW regarding fat burners, sorry but I really find it sad to see ads about them... They are marketed as a cure-all, burn all fat products that are so hyped up to the non-athlete crowd that is just plain wrong to do so. Fat burners are for athletes that need extra thermogenics to burn off the final few pounds of fat that regular dieting and workouts can't take off ANYMORE.
Problem is that the layman users use fat burners BEFORE they even know if their diet is correct or their workout intensity is correct.
Such users will just waste a lot of money, get their digestive system all screwed up and get nothing but placebo losses or water / muscle loss at best.
Think guys before investing your hard earned money on fat loss products or any supplements for that matter....
Remember what the word SUPPLEMENT mean... and what difference it has with DRUG. Drug cures, solves or curbs a problem, supplement does none of those.
Here's an excerpt from one of the old articles in T-Nation... About common fat loss failure reasons. Number one was..
1) Relying Too Much on Thermogenics
All too often, thermogenics (fat burners) are used as a crutch for poor food choices. Quality thermogenics work, but they can't make up for a poor diet.
Have you ever seen anyone pop a couple of fat burners right before sitting down to an all-you-can-eat buffet, or even follow a breakfast of cream filled cupcakes and a soda with a fistful of some caffeine/ephedrine product? This methodology never works out; the world’s best supplements will do nothing for you if you don't take the time to get your own house in order first.
While well intentioned, fat burners, in my opinion, have taken a turn for the worst. Slick marketing, half-truths, and an overall media blitz depicting "easy" or "quick" results using these products has mislead many an individual into thinking that a pill can pay penance for their past and/or current dieting sins. Hey, if it were that easy then all of America would be lean and chiseled, yet we all know obesity is at an all time high.
The primary purpose of thermogenic agents was never to make up for a crappy diet, but rather to enhance fat burning of an individual who had everything else already dialed in. Anyone who thinks differently will no doubt be disappointed. Don’t get me wrong, fat burners definitely have their place, especially as a pick-me-up for those grueling leg training days, for mental enhancement before athletic competitions, and for cutting that last ounce of fat off your love handles when dieting alone can't do the trick. But they aren't magic.
Do yourself a favor: save the fat burners for when you're willing to put in the effort and have the discipline to control your food intake rather than to have your food intake control you. After you accomplish this step you'll be amazed at how well thermogenics can work for getting you closer to your personal best.
Knowing you, you have a fit body, I think some tuning of your diet and cardio will get rid of whatever bodyfat % you're trying to lose.
But to answer your question, here are some links to user reviews. (Don't bother listening to manufacturer claims, the label's aim is to do one thing. Make you buy the product so biased description will definitely be a factor:
Big list: http://www.consumerdemocracy.com/phelp/cd4/listPosRevs2B.aspx?catId=9769 http://www.epinions.com/content_91556580996 http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/health-products/xenadrine-rfa-1/418640 http://www.musclesurf.com/xenprodrev.html
Bottom line: If you check most of the positive reviews implemented a dietary change and workout.
IGOP: Some clarification lang, Xenadrine (or equivalent) are not drugs, they dont work by themselves, they merely increase your heart rate to increase metabolism and add some jolt to your energy like coffee. They do work, but not to a degree of what manufacturers claim they would.
I guess it's not in the same line as comparing food supplements to anabolics and GH.
I've used thermogenic products such as Hydroxycut and Ripped Fuel. My application is I take it prior to a workout as a supplement to boost energy. I can sweat more and last longer on the treadmill (1 hour at around 9.4 km/h) and I have that can do attitude when lifting weights (maybe psychological too). No noticeable effects on the diet though. The weight loss claims of thermogenics are still really person dependent because it will only be effective with the correct diet, and the diet will be the ultimate prevailing reason, and not the supplement.
RFA-1 is better than EFX, but it was already banned...
NRG and the new formula EFX with Norambrolide (im not sure of the spelling) is much better, but i have to hear some personal testimonials from my customers yet about the new EFX before I am going to recommend it, but until then, I advise you to take NRG instead...
the Hydroxycut is made of green tea extract... and it is a very expensive green tea extract indeed... effective but not like the original version... but the Hydroxycut caffeine-free version is really good for coffee drinkers who dont want extra caffeine...
in the end, wala sa supplement yan, asa tao yan... just like what said, use this supplements as energy supplement rather than fat burners and depending on it alone...
supplements are not magic formulas, they are called supplements because they are indeed JUST SUPPLEMENTS - just a little help in your diet...
Q. How long does caffeine and ephedrine stay in your system after taking something like Xenadrine or other ephedrine-based fat-loss product?
A:First off, be aware that ephedrine and caffeine in combination has been shown to cause side effects such as rapid pulse, raising blood pressure, nervousness, sleeplessness, and in extreme cases where people are especially sensitive to it, loss of memory and passing out. It may be better to try other supplements before using this combination (I actually don't recommend using it).
How long caffeine and ephedrine keep your blood pressure raised depends on a number of factors but generally the effects diminish after about 4 to 6 hours after taking it. The greatest factor that affects this is the dosage you take. The more you take, the longer it will take to decrease the effects (up to a point).
Some people are especially sensitive to the stimulating properties of ephedrine and experience this for longer periods. Some tolerate the combination quite well.
It is also generally accepted that the longer you take ephedrine, the more accustomed your body becomes to it and the faster the effects will diminish.
Hi... im new to the forum and i find it really informative. anyway, i started using Xenadrine EFX around 3 weeks ago. i stopped taking it after two weeks para may breather ako. im taking it again and yung total na bawas sa weight ko is around 10 lbs na. i used to weigh 184 lbs (give or take) and now im down to 170 lbs. plus, my belly is smaller . but of course, i dont rely on it lang.. i mean, i started a modified version of the south beach diet and i go to the gym at least 3 times a week, puro cardio lang. yun nga lang, i havent gone for a week and a half na. well, bottom line is Xenadrine EFX plus a "healthier" diet and regular work out works for me. as someone said nga, it depend from person to person btw: so far, wala pa naman ako nararamdaman na side effects, i still sleep like a normally, my pulse/heart rate is the same, etc.

Well my friend, I think kaya wala kang nararamdaman kasi your are still young. But when you reach the age of 40, thats a different story.
And about the south beach diet, I know it rapidly lose your weight but for what I know is you shouldnt be working out or do cardio during your south beach diet.
