Need to increase my caloric (and protein intake) but having a hard time bringing and purchasing that much food in between meals. Didn't want to spend on new supplements (weight gainers) either due to relatively high sugar and fat content (and price hehe).
Came up with this:
100grams of non-fat powdered milk. Better if it's soy or lactose free milk. 2 scoops of ON whey 1 large banana (chopped) 1 cup of instant oats 500ml cold water. 3-5 ice cubes.
Blend for 1 minute.
Forgot to bring the macronutrient breakdown, but approximately, this shake will have 800 calories, 80grams of protein and less than 5g of fat.
I usually make a Coleman of this and drink it in 2-3 sittings during the day sa office.
Honestly, it's quite good, ON's choco doesn't really "overpower" the taste of most shakes anyway, so your added fruit may dictate the taste quite a bit.
Let me put it this way, compared to my usual 1 cup oat + whey + cottage cheeze mix, this tastes way better.

just wanna share... i tried this formula and it tastes really good. but i ran out of banana so i looked at the ref and found oreo... and yes, it tastes super good a la cookies and creams. :)

With the shake, if you need more calories, tinker with the oats and substitute water with skim (or fat free) milk, dont add too much sugar/sweets if you can.
Using milk will add another 300 cal or so per liter of shake...
Oh gross, as usual dala ko home made shake ko (ibang concoction na to since I dont have whey)... Medyo kulang cocoa powder ko eh nasa office na ako... May Milo dito sa office so I though lagyan ko nalang for taste...
i used to blend microwaved oats, boiled tuna, carrots (paranoid ako sa cancer coz my father died of it). parang pagkaing lamesa. masarap, pero malansa. pang btween meals ko ito. lagay ko sa tumbler tas lagok ng dahan dahan. separate ang shake ko- banana and carrots, with soy milk kung meron pero skim milk madalas. may lasa hindi ko ma-describe.
