biceps or triceps?

One question, for someone who wishes to have a nice bulky arm, what muscle is responsible for that bulky look?I've been training my biceps really hard but still I don't get that nice lean cut look, considering body fat percentage is ok,how do you get that nice arm?Or maybe it's the triceps I should concentrate on???

honestly, shempre lahat gusto malaki biceps diba...kaya naiiwan yung triceps which is also a vital part of working out...so train both...

kahit 1 exercise of 3 sets per workout session ok na...lalakas ka pa since consistent training...or train your arms 2x a week...let's say MWF ka nagbubuhat, train your arms on mondays na light lang...then intense and heavy on fridays...

ang sarap ng malaki arms na proportional coz your arms make your shirts "fit" looking! hehehe!

ako pa-pitik-pitik every MWF (that's when i train) kaya lumalakas naman! try mo...or pag d ka satisfied, heavy and intense every monday and friday

i agree.. train both if you can.

although., i started training my triceps more to improve my bench press. train your tricep more if you want to add additional pushing power on your arms. kung gusto mo lumakas buhat mo nang mga bagay-bagay sa pagkarga sa harap, train naman your biceps.

aesthetically, imho, mas maganda ang malaki ang bi's pag nakaharap.. ang tri's pag naka-side.

Thanks guys!Someone also told me to train my delts for that nice cut to develop.I think the delts are harder to develop coz i've been doing it for quite sometime pero wala pa ding cuts.

Of course, everyone wants good symmetry, but if we're just talking about upper arms alone, the triceps are the key to the "bulkness" of your arm. Triceps cover 2/3rds of your arm, compared to the bicep. It'll take hellalot of bicep mass to be able to make a shirt "tight" around the upper arms, but bulk up the inner triceps a little more than usual, the shirt will be tight even with a mediocre bicep. (Look at heavy powerlifters, they have huge triceps.)

That's another part of my body that's a little weak, the inner triceps... Lotsa overhead heavy weight movements will help here. Pushdown movements will hit the outer tri more.

triceps is bigger than biceps, but ayaw mo ba ng symmetry? workout mo ng pantay... pero minsan kahit 3 exercises na lang ang triceps dahil nacover din naman pagchest workout...

train them both. I suggest na mag train ka ng heavy on arm day training. (yung heavy na hindi nakaka pilay and yung dalwa na kayo ng trainer ang nagbubuhat) Overhead tricep extension is a great exercise and followed by a cable kickback. Sarap pero masakit..........you know what i mean, yung pag pinipindot masakit pero masarap ang feeling.

if u want big guns, I suggest u train both triceps and biceps in one session. since i started using that strategy my arms grew from 16.5" to 17.5".

teka, how healthy is training the arms in one day than let's say chest/triceps and then back/biceps??? which is "better"???? training biceps and triceps in one day or include them in the major muscle training like what i have just mentioned?

I suggest that you train them in one day, hiwalay sa mga major muscle training para maka lift ka ng heavy sa arm day.

  • Monday:shoulders

  • tuesday: back

  • Wednesday: Chest

  • Thursday:rest

  • Friday: legs

  • Saturday: ARMS

ARM me please!

as i have said in my previous post, i insert 2 sets of 1 exercise bicep every MWF. Is this healthy?

here's my program

mon: chest-triceps+abs

addendum:

"cool down" ko yung biceps so i do 2-3sets of db curls weighing 25, 30 and 35 lbs respectively in increasing order.

wed: back+forearms+abs

then extra 1-2 sets of light biceps since kasama na yun sa back...

friday:shoulders+legs+abs

biceps ulit...

tama ba ginagawa ko? or should i just train it on one day? gusto ko kasi shempre, lumaki biceps ko because this is the part that was left behind...so i try to compensate it now by training it 3x a week...

triceps ko ok lang...well trained naman siya eh.

opinions?

RE: biceps or triceps?

It will be best kung i allocate mo biceps exercise for 1 day kung gusto mo better results.Just my humble opinion.Kasi since ang biceps(just like the calves)is one of the group of muscles na mahirap i-mass ,up bombarding it on one day exclusively will bring faster results. Ako maximum na ang dalawang muscle group in a day.
