I usually have this problem whenever i work out my biceps. My right forearm hurts a lot (pati left pero it's more tolerable) whenever i do db curls. kahit kaya ko pa magbuhat, sobrang sumasakit nga yung forearms ko kaya napipigilan ako magbuhat. what i do is hold a db downward then i twist my arm para mag-stretch or something. minsan nawawala naman pero pag nagbuhat ako, nandun ulit.
what do you think is my problem? weak? underdeveloped? injury?
streeeeetch... unstretched muscle could lead to cramps and muscle aches when rushed into any excercise.
you maybe 'cocking' your wrist early-on/during the lift. it will strenghen your forearms, but you'll strain them first before you reach the pump for your biceps.
like jason said, try to loosen your grip a bit as you start the curl. i'm not yet into straps.. these ain't the same as those used in bondage fetishes, if that's what you're thinking! . though some bodybuilders/heavylifters use it for support, so try it out.

Read somewhere that doing preacher curls actually works the forearm more than the biceps.In a way it (big forearms)will make the biceps bigger by pusing it upwards when you flex your arms.

Huh? Please post the site where you read that crap. The fibers that are contracted more in the preacher curl is the biceps, and yes it will hit the forearm but in a very little amount.
Wanna have bigger & developed forearms? Then, when you are doing your back exercise "DONT PUT STRAPS ON"!!! Belive me, it will make your forearm bigger & stronger.

I used to encounter the same problem but gym buddy corrected my form and advices me to do forearms twice a week. Whoola problem disappear in two weeks of doing it.
