note to all beginners


warning lang...

most of bodybuilders kasi, dont workout their legs and core, because gusto maging macho, at uunahin ang upper body... that is a no-no... base on my experience you'll have problems in the future, especially if you are already lifting heavy weights, hindi mo na balance and hirap ka sa standing exercises... besides pagnagsports ka pa, lalo ka lang babagal and madali maitulak... mahirap for soccer, basketball, sa tennis naman medyo hirap ka humabol...

also wear gloves, yun may support sa wrist... mahirap ma-injure ang wrist, laging bumabalik-balik... pagna-injure wrist mo 1-10 months ka hindi makakaworkout ng upper body... tapos mahirap pa sa recovery dahil dapat light weights muna...

dont ever forget to workout your foundation, if beginner ka lang start sa whole body workout... wag ka magmamadali...

I agree with this...

simple tasks such as standing up and sitting down require strong leg muscles. lifting a heavy object off the floor requires a strong lower back naman.

in addition to van_wilder's note. learn to train your muscles instead of enslaving them. focus on form & muscle contractions when lifting weights / performing a specific exercise. remember, we are creatures of habit. pag nasanay ka nang proper form, slowly add intensity to your workout. wag kayong magmamadali.. hindi parepareho ang katawan natin. being big is not the same as being strong. and DON'T be afraid to ask questions.

Your lower body has the most muscle throughout your body, work them well and your whole body's metabolism, growth hormone secretion, etc will be enhanced.

1. Rest. IMO yung notion na mas bibilis ka mag bulk pag araw araw ka nag gym mali yun, yung muscles mo kelangan ng pahinga, titigas lang pero di sila mag peak pag araw araw.

2. Follow your program. Hindi pedeng may nakita ka na may ginawa yung kasama mo na iba gagawin mo din, kung ano yung sequence dun sa program mo sundin mo at kung ano yung routine mo for that day yun ang gawin mo.


3. Rest in between sets. IMO maximum of 2-3 minutes rest kada set. Hindi pede yung pagbuhat mo ng isang set, ikot dito kwento dun.


4. Ask questions. tama sila lahat pag hindi mo alam kung ano ang gagawin o alam mo gagawn hindi mo alam yung tamang position and form sa pag execute magtanong ka mahirap magkaroon ng injury.

5. Observe proper gym decorum.

5.1 As much as possible tahimik ka lang mag gym kugn may kasama ka avoid nyo yung magtawanan o magsigawan dahil nakaka distract sa ibang nag work-out yan.
5.2 yung barbells at dumbells na ginamit mo ibalik mo dun sa tamng lalagayn o rack. kung hindi ikaw ang gumamit at nakita mo ibalik mo na din.

5.3 Magdala ka ng towel, para yung ginamit mo na equipment o machine natuluan ng pawis mo kung walang rug pamunas sa gym, gamitin mo yung towel mo.
5.4 Proper gym attire.

oo nga pala... wag masyadong malapit sa mirror, pagtumama kasi baka mabasag yun... iwas accident kung medyo may distance...

dont overestimate yourself, if lifting heavy weights make sure na may nagbabantay sa iyo na kaya kang-spot... baka kasi bigla kang bumigay hindi mo natantsa yun kaya mo... happened to me thrice sa bench... naipit ako ng barbell buti na lang may nakakita at nai-angat niya...

hehheh mahirap talaga yan lalo na kung mabigat tapos ala kang spotter.

1. kung newbie sa pag buhat wag basta basta tatanggalin ang mga plates sa long bar , ako muntik muntikan na tamaan dahil may mga basta na lang tinatangal yung mga plates sa isang side.

I think one of the most important things to remember when you're new to this is to leave your EGO at the door. Do not ever sacrifice form for weight.

One of the most important is to know the proper form & movement. Kung hindi tama ang execution ay sayang lang ang pagod at suppliment mo.

I. TAKE A PICTURE OF YOURSELF BEFORE EVEN STARTING TO WORK OUT THE VERY FIRST TIME! PARA MAY REFERENCE KA 6 MONTHS - 1 YEAR AFTER!!!! Kahit out of vanity lang, astig pa rin...you'll see your own transformation!

1. do a bit of research! i met this guy at the gym where i workout yung program nya 3 months na d sya nagpapalit!!!

2. yup, rest your muscles. the same guy trains his arms everyday! heavy and intense pa ha with 4 sets! sabi ko kailangan mo ipahinga...kaya ayun, ginawan ko ng split programs!

3. yes, know first proper form and movement dahil hindi lang sayang buhat at supplements mo, pati pera.

4. magpaalam sa lahat ng tao pag gagamitin mo yung bench press, dahil 90% of the time, chest lang alam buhatin ng mga taong wala masyadong alam sa pagbubuhat. yung iba kasi, magsasalpak ng 250lbs na plates tapos d naman bubuhatin, pag tinanong mo kung tapos na sila, sasabihin "ISA PA!" pero pasikat lang, d naman kaya. kaburat yon.

5. i-flush ang toilet pag gumamit ng CR dun. sabi nga nila, kung gaano kalinis/kadumi CR nyo sa bahay, yun ang pagkatao mo. so pag ikaw huling gumamit, wag mo naman scrub yung floor at bowl, simply make sure na walang pee droplets yung rim at flush mo. kung walang tubig, mag-igib ka, squats din yan...

ako kung saan-saan nagwoworkout... pasundot-sundot lang... sumasabay lang kasi ako kay toby eh. eh ang kulit niya, gusto niya talaga mag-workout kaya napadalas workout ko... pero masmadalas pa rin hindi...

yan ang pinakamaganda sa lahat, yung may training partner ka, kasi nakakatamad talaga mag gym kung mag isa ka lang lagi.
