newbie here

hi guys,

hope you still got room for another noob, actually im not a total noob, ive been working out for about a year now. but still i feel like a total newbie compared to the big fellas at my gym.
i am a 23 year old, mesomorphic, 147lbs, blue collar guy. i work 12hrs/ 3 days a week in shifting scheds. i work out at our company gym during work days, and lift at a local gym during day-offs.

my current diet is on low carbs, i seldom eat rice. just wheat bread on some occasions and bananas. 6 meals a day. my only suppliments for now are ON whey pro and a creatine i bought from toby's.

i am having problems in gaining i think, i feel inferior to other big guys,i would like to add some more sups on my list to better improve my mass. any suggestions? i read about ARGANINE and NO, do you think its worth a try spending some cash for these?confused

i dont like the male model look which my wife likes, i rather prefer the dorian yates/ ronnie coleman physique.biggrin

do you think i have to step up on carbs to increase mass? confusedi'm afraid to over do it since i feel bloated and loose my mid section when ever i eat a little to mush rice.

and lastly, i would  like to really bulk up and increase stamina since i am planning to quit job and join the PNP some time next year, just for a career change maybe.smile

anyway, thanks for the time reading my boring intro, hope you guys can help.

ahhh.. fresh meat! (joke) welcome aboard!

how tall are you? so, you've been working out for a year.. have you been keeping records of your stats? if not, then you should. no need to feel inferior - you do not need to compete with other guys (unless you want to do this professionally.) compete with yourself first. set attainable goals.

keep it simple. add more solid foods to your diet. remember that any excess in calories will turn into fat. if you like the bulgy type look you'll have to accept the body fat that'll come along with it.

what's your workout program?

at long last, some one had noticed... i checked the last reply dates and i thought the forum is on vacation...

anyway, thanks a lot for the reply. i am on a 6 day split routine, but honestly i am not that consistent. i always end up on the basic 3 day routine that i think works out fine, sometimes...

i work out in the office gym during work days and go the local gym when day-offs.

i am looking for good advices on what supplements to take, L-arginine and NO products look enticing to my eyes these days... haaaay....

thanks,

semper fi

try creatine. there's a sticky here somewhere about it.

afaik, NO products have been debunked.

how tall are you?

Hi King,

am hitting the gym again net month. I have been working out for the past 3 years already. I have not gain much, but i became bigger than my usual when i wasnt working out.

Got some "slight" definitions as well. i consider myself fit but i wanted to enhance it more.

Basically, i wanted to gain pa. Based on my experience, i tend to loose weight when i stop working out. Its much different from other gym goers where they gain weight when they stop working out. Mine is a different case.

Can you please help me come up with an effective GAINING Program?

appreciate your help on this. Thanks!
